To handle someone else’s case, a valid power of attorney is required. A verbal power of attorney can be granted during a telephone conversation, provided both parties are present, but this permission is limited to a specific occasion. If you need to handle someone else’s case for a longer period of time, the power of attorney must be in writing.
A debt collection claim has a payment deadline of 8 days. If the debt is still not paid after this time, the case may be sent to the Enforcement Agency for further action. You run the risk of receiving a payment notice, which in turn can affect your opportunities to get loans, mobile subscriptions, insurance and the like.
